NMAT format

NMAT–2012 consists of 120 questions with a test duration of 120 minutes. The questions are multiple choice types where the candidate needs to select one of the correct answers. The sections in the NMAT–2012 are Quantitative Ability, Language Skills and Logical Reasoning.

NMAT process

NMAT–2012 is a computer-delivered test in which each candidate gets a randomly generated exam from a pool of questions. Candidates have a choice of selecting the order/sequence of the test sections. Each section has an individual time limit and candidates need to complete answering the questions and reviewing the section within the allotted section time. The number of questions and time limit of the test sections are predetermined and, under normal administration conditions, are the same regardless of when and where the test is administered. The computer displays questions one at a time. Only after a candidate takes an action on the first question, will the computer display the next question.

Registration for NMAT

Candidates can register for NMAT through an online registration application available on website www.pearsonvueindia.com/nmat. NMIMS does not accept registrations from candidates in any other mode or form.

Scheduling of NMAT

Once a candidate’s registration application is found to be complete in all respects and the required payment has been received by NMIMS, the candidate will receive an e-mail with username and password enabling him/her to schedule the exam. Candidates will be able to select the date, time slot and Test Centre of choice based on the availability of seats. The test slots will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis and a confirmation e-mail sent to candidates on finalization of scheduling.

PLEASE NOTE: A candidate is required to first take the “NMAT–2012” in order to become eligible for a “NMAT–2012–Retake” exam.
